These pictures were from two weeks ago. I need to get pictures of them in their new individual pots. Maybe tomorrow.  Posted by Hello

This afternoon I found two of the alaska tropic tomotoes that were not there this morning. I also found a cucumber and several of the red cabbage that were not up this morning. The brocolli has been up for several days and is almost as tall as the green cabbage that was planted next to it. I am going to have to put them deeper in their cups this weekend. Maybe I will get some pictures this weekend, too.

More tomatos

I planted the burpee tomotos today, half a flat, 24, or each 4th of July early and Big Boy. I will have to dig out the shelving this weekend. I thought i twas in the garage, but can't find it there.

How dissappointing. I checked again last night and saw that there are not any tomatos up, but the cabbage and letuce are doing great. I check the soil out on the bank yesterday afternoon and it is thawed to about an inch. As soon as the snow is off one of the beds I will be able to plant carrots.

3/14/05

I was so excited to find my burpee seed order in the mailbox when I checked on Saturday.l I only ordered them on Tuesday. Oh boy, Now I can go play in the dirt some more!
Even more exciting than that, is that last night when I pulled down the blind I found that the letuce had sprouted. This morning I had tomotoes and cabbage poking up, too.

I finially did it. I got seeds in dirt this morning. One flat of mixed letuces, One flat of 1/3 Alaska Tropic Tomatoes, 1/3 cabbage and 1/3 green golliath brocolli. These are seeds left over from last year.
I also planted one flat with the canterberry bells seeds I harvested last year.

moving in the right direction

3/9/5 Sunday afternoon we used the sled to get my box of flats and trays and the bags of potting soil out of the greenhouse and haul them up the hill to the garage. The potting soil was flozen into solid lumps, but by this morning the lumps have thawed. I got out the flats and am about ready to start filling trays. I need to clear access to the deep sink so I can get to the water. I am actually doing something, finially.

moving forward

I have been drooling over the seed catalogs for weeks and this morning, despite the new snowfall, I ordered my seeds. I will be starting the first things probably about 2 weeks from now.
